“You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’ But I say to you, Do not resist one who is evil. But if any one strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also;”
Have you been hurt so bad by someone that your flesh bubbles up in anger? Do you feel like exposing their falsehoods? Is that the way God would want us to handle the situation?
I know and believe that the most honorable thing to do in any situation like this is to place it in God’s hands. It shows more courage and strength to “Give it to God” then to allow your flesh to have its way. This is the true test of God, can you walk the walk instead of talking the talk, so to speak. The path that leads to Christ is a very narrow path. It takes strength, trust, and perseverance, and the peace that comes after each test is very rewarding.
“I pray for each and every person who is tested in this area. I know there are times we will fall, and I know Jesus, you will be there to pick us up each and every time. I pray for strength, healing and trust for those enduring this test in their lives. We need to Love others, and forgive each other, over and over again.” Amen
