“And he who sat upon the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” Also he said, “Write this, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
I awoke with fullness in my heart this morning. This Easter I was given a special gift. God has reconciled some relationships in my life that were broken. Over a course of time, he healed my broken heart. The great physician worked on my heart and taught me to love those who have hurt me. The words, “Father Forgive them; for they know not what they do.” (Luke 23:34) These words echoed my heart, and helped me to forgive and let go.
Thank you for the gift you have given me. Thank you for loving us to the point that you gave your own life for us. Help all people who face broken relationships in their lives. Touch their hearts and heal them where healing is needed. Restore our broken lives and teach us to love. Amen.
“Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.”
What powerful words God speaks to us, yet we are fearful at times. Fear can consume us and take away our peace. It can destroy are hearts and minds and has a way of paralyzing us, if we let it. Anxiety and fear can only consume us if we let it. Let us allow these words to touch are hearts and together we can use them to conquer fear. God says he will strengthen us, help us, and hold us up. Let us put our focus on these words next time fear comes to attack our minds.
You are with us. You will strengthen us. You will help us. Help us when we battle fear to trust in your words. Only You can help us conquer fear and grow in peace. We need you to give us strength. Amen.
