He gave me strength

Isaiah 40:29  ” He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.”

I have had hypothyroidism for 18 years now as well I have Eczema and Psoriasis. Hypothyroidism and Psoriasis are both auto immune diseases. They can make a person tired. Hypothyroidism is managed with medication, and Psoriasis is something that can be managed if you can figure out your triggers. I went to the doctor two years ago for a routine physical and was told I had high cholesterol levels. This scared me enough to make a change. I asked God to help me to lose weight and prayed for strength to do it. Everyday for the past year and a half, I have been exercising and eating more sensibly. I used a treadmill and weights and voila it has worked. I went from a size 12 to a size 6. As for my cholesterol levels they are excellent, my doctor was happy to see how I turned that around with these changes to my lifestyle. My excuse before this was that I have hypothyroidism, therefore, I cannot lose weight. Well I have to say now that was an excuse because I just proved my own theory wrong. 🙂

Dear God,

I thank you for all that you do in my life. I thank you for giving me strength to overcome obstacles in my life. I pray for other’s who struggles with illness that they too can call upon you for strength. Amen.

  1. Dear Shawna. I just finished listening to a message and wonderful prayer For growing in strength. And then I opened your blog on the strength that God gave you to be transformed. I was so encouraged. Keep up your good ministry. God bless you. Father Denis
