Psalm 18:6 ” In my distress I called upon the Lord; to my God I cried for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears.”
On Thursday I had to have surgery and I was afraid. This has been my third surgery in the last two years. I texted a friend and they had reminded me of God’s promise, be not afraid. Immediately, these words comforted me. Anxiety came trickling in but was washed away with God’s word. My husband came down to the operating room with me and waited with me until I was escorted into the surgery room. I remember praying and calling my dear Mother Mary to protect me and to be with me. I came home yesterday and I am feeling pretty good, other than some swelling and having to slow down for awhile. I can spend extra time throughout the day praying and getting closer to God, which is something I look forward to. I learned again that he is with us everywhere we go and that he truly hears our cries.
I thank you for being with me and helping me to grow closer in trusting you. It can be easy sometimes to slip into anxiety and I am sorry when I do. I love you and Trust in you. Amen
