A Mother’s Heart

Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.”

Today I was looking through some Christmas ornaments and I came across this special one my oldest son had given me a long time ago. After reading the message on the ornament I began to tear up, I have not seen my son in 9 months and miss him dearly. This scripture in proverbs reminded me that God gifted us with him, and as parent’s our job is to raise our children to become independent responsible individuals. As hard as it is to see them move away and grow up, I can say I accomplished my task. I pray daily for my children and know that Jesus is with them watching over them daily.

Dear Jesus,

I thank you for watching over our children as we place them in your hands every day. I pray for those who miss there children and cannot see them that often, that you will fill the hole they have in their hearts with peace. Amen.
