He heals the broken hearted

I have had the opportunity to share my personal testimony at numerous events over the past year and it has been a great experience for me to witness to the Love of Christ and how he has touched my life. I have had people reach out to me after my talk and they expressed to me how much the talk has touched their hearts. I really enjoy and love speaking about how Jesus has healed my brokenness and I am available to continue to do my testimony at future events for anyone who is interested. I can be contacted at http://www.shawnaa_respectforlife@hotmail.com or through this blog page in the comments.

My testimony has been published in book format and can be purchased as well.

Leave it in God’s hands

Romans 12:14-21 ” Bless those who persecute you; Bless and do not curse them. Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly; never be conceited. Repay no one evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all. If possible, so far as it depends upon you, live peaceably with all. Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God; for it is written, ” vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” No, ” if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals upon his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

This scripture sums up the meaning of true love and faith in God. We all have been hurt and have those in our lives that always want to fight. Division and quarrels seem to be the way they choose to live their lives. What can we do if these people are family members? People who we love that repeatedly hurt us deeply, people who themselves do not know Jesus. Yes, it stings when we are rejected and treated terribly but we have something they can not  take from us, we have Jesus. It is hard when we are treated poorly but if we allow this treatment to impact us we ourselves spiritually will be greatly affected. Roots of rejection, anger, and bitterness are a few things that could spring up and choke us if we allow them to. How can I not be affected by this? We can pray for those who persecute us and always remember that Jesus is with us and will gives us strength to endure our hardships. Interceding for those in our lives that do not know God is the best act of love we can give them. Remember the words ” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”

Dear Jesus,

We lift up our family members who do not know you. We pray for their conversion and for their hearts to be changed. That your love would fill their hearts and minds. Amen.
