Unconditional Love

Titus 3:4-7 “ But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of any works of righteousness that we had done, but according to his mercy, through the water of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit. This Spirit he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ, our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.”

Have you ever believed you needed to do well to be loved? That Love needs to be earned, not freely given. Why do you think some of us were led to believe that we are worth unconditional love?

Years ago I believed this lie myself. I thought Jesus could never love me for who I am, that I need to earn his love. My parents never gave me unconditional love, in fact the words I Love You never was spoken to me by their mouths. I want you to know that Jesus loves you and it is a genuine love. A love you do not need to earn, a love so pure it can change your heart. Are you willing to trust in that love?

Dear Jesus,

I pray for all those who need an outpouring of your love. That they would recognize that they are your chosen children. That your love need not be earned but it freely given to those that seek you. Amen.

  1. Thanks, yes I knew from a small child and accept his love and forgiveness.  So sad that so many do not know this and continue to look for love in the wrong places.  God Bless you  Dianne

  2. Yes, it is very sad but unfortunately it is becoming more common in our society. I’m very glad to hear you knew of Jesus’s love at an early age. Let us pray for those who are suffering that they will find love and mercy as well.
