Deuteronomy 18: 9-15 “ When you come into the land that the Lord your God is giving you, you must not learn to imitate the abhorrent practices of those nations. No one shall be found among you who makes a son or daughter pass through fire, or who practices divination, or is a soothsayer, or an augur, or a sorcerer, or one who casts spells, or who consults ghosts or spirits, or who seeks oracles from the dead. For whoever does these things is abhorrent to the Lord; it is because of such abhorrent practises that the Lord your God is driving them out before you. You must remain completely loyal to the Lord your God. Although these nations that you are about to dispossess do give heed to soothsayers and diviners, as for you, the Lord your God does not permit you to do so.”
Have you been to a psychic, or have you had your tarot cards read? Have you been involved in reiki, yoga, or any other new age practises that we see today in our society? There are many new age practises popping up in different forms and we need to be very careful in regards to the harm it causes spiritually. I want you to know the devil is real.
In my past I dabbled with psychic phone calls on chat lines, the ouiji board and a few other occult practises. My ignorance led me to become prey to the devil and away from God. I was attracted to the unknown and found these things acceptable in our secular society. Little did I know the harm it caused me spiritually.
To make a long story short, when I turned my life over to Jesus I had to rebuke all the sins of my past including every new age practise I was involved in. Jesus is the one true God, he is the long narrow path that leads us to healing. We need to turn away from sin and find the truth in his loving Mercy.
I pray for all who seek healing but have been led down the wrong path. Those who the enemy is grasping at and trying to harm. I ask that they find the truth which is in you alone. Amen.
