Romans 12:2 “ Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may prove what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
The above picture of my orchid blooming is quite a beautiful transformation from last month’s picture of the buds alone. Symbolically it speaks to the way God works in our hearts. He ripens and prunes us, which leads to a renewal of our minds. When the time is right and only then is the true beauty of his works revealed.
We need to be patient and honest with Jesus, revealing the truth of our interior sins. Surrendering the pain and anger allows him to sculpt the hurt into something beautiful. Beauty that can be used to lead others who suffer to his compassionate and merciful heart. He is waiting patiently for your “yes”, are you willing to allow him into your heart?
I pray for those who are suffering in silence and are fearful of opening their hearts to you. I ask that they will trust in your mercy and allow your hand to create beauty in their lives. Amen.
