About

Psalm 34:18 “The Lord is near to the Broken-Hearted, and saves the crushed in spirit.”

I grew up in a dysfunctional home which led me on a road of destruction. My teenage and young adult years were shaped by the hurts I had hidden in my heart. I presently share my testimony in high schools, churches, and wherever I am invited to go. I recently have been on Shalom world “Jesus my Savior”, and “At Home with Jim and Joy” on EWTN (Eternal Word Television Network). My message is focused on God’s Mercy and Love as well on encouragement and hope. God has blessed me with a compassionate heart that is yearning to serve him. He has turned my mess into a message of hope.

I have two beautiful boy’s and a loving husband who support my passion to serve God.

I love nature, sight seeing, and movies. Cooking and baking are also things I enjoy, who does not like good food :).

If you would like to have me share my testimony at your next event I can be reached at:  shawnaa_respectforlife@hotmail.com

  1. Just read your story…. wow! Thank you for being so transparent and very inspirational. You inspire me on my journey. I have not had an abortion myself but was with a friend who did. I was pro choice before that experience but after that day I immediately knew in my spirit it was wrong and felt so guilty as if I was part of it…. after reading your story I know I need to ask God to forgive me for being part of that. Thank you for what are you doing for Gids kingdom. God bless you! Shawna I remember you growing up and I also remember you not being able to give eye contact. I wish I could have showed you more compassion. I remember doing your hair at your wedding and talking about how you were being treated at the dental office. This has taught me a lesson not to take granted the time I spend with people in my chair and the opportunities I have to witness and make a difference ….. even if to pray for them. Thank you !!!!

  2. Shawna, I just watched both parts of your interview and was absolutely floored how you persevered through years of something that was so far away from normal that it needs a new word in the dictionary!

Your courage has inspired me to be a better brother, Father, Grandparent and friend and, as Matthew Kelly would say, continue to pray for guidance in how to be the best version of myself and be there for someone who is in need…

Thanks for sharing…take care of you and…God bless…,
